Run Forrest, Run...

Like Wozniak said, “winning is not as important to me as running alter the ball.” That is the spirit of insatiable people, those who are willing to risk it all in order to achieve the dreams of the insatiable and the foolish.

Have you ever felt like that? Have you ever been chasing the ball, without caring where it took you, because just doing it was gratifying enough? Have you ever felt like Forrest Gump? The reaction of society watching you do it is very interesting; some think you’re stupid, treat you like a looser. But there are also those who, without questioning it, run alongside you.

There are people who abandon you because thy can’t take the lack of results, the instability, the lack of immediacy between the effort and getting a result; but it is precisely here, in the journey and not the goal, that the authentic entrepreneur finds pleasure.

Many businessmen and women believe, when they come before a possible venture capitalist, that what they want to hear is only how much money they’re going to make from this, and how much from that. Magic spreadsheets support it all; however, the fundamental ingredient for getting results, for obtaining a significant portion of added value and uniqueness, is not about being a master of “PowerPoint or Excel”; you need a real passion for enjoying the path, the desert of funds, acceptance and support; you need to be insatiable, and have a dose of madness immerse in the genetics of those who want to change the world.

The lack of hunger, madness and, above all, goals, is what should worry these investors; more than seeking a proven business, a business model, you have to search, in every sense, to find success.

It is ironic that insatiable people are also the simplest, most candid, not to say innocent ones. They are mocked when they talk about their harebrained plans. But it is a fact, you have to think the unthinkable; those are the ones who achieve great breakthroughs. The anxiety that they have for creating things that not only work for them, but transform the world, is still there, and there is where it must be found. Ego is very important for innovators, who wouldn’t like to prove that he is not wrong?

In this section, I plan to show the projects that came from foolish and insatiable innovators, understand the experiences of these exceptional characters, learn from the richness of their experience in order to achieve innovation in our own projects.
